Cumulus is the music project of Sam Fairweather. Introduced to musical perfromance at a young age, Cumulus picked up novice skills in violin, guitar, and piano but truly found his niche when he discovered electronic music.

He began experimenting with synthesizers, music software, and turntables in 2000 and began performing dj sets as Sam I Am in Santa Barbara, California. Tackling almost every genre, his diverse performances helped to create an eclectic sound. A resident and promoter for the Word of Mouth full moon parties in Santa Barbara, he was heavily influenced by his outdoor experiences as a performer, you can hear it in his music. His sound is both nomadic and focused, psychedelic and moody.

He currently resides in Oakland, California where he regularly djs a diverse range of tempos and genres. His track 'Bayou' and 'Kerbcrawlin' express a thoughtful blend of trip-hop, hip-hop, downtempo, and dubstep. Currently he is working on bringing together a small album of demo material and a live breakbeat performance act with Djeeno as the duo 'Le'Grime.' Stay tuned...
